The Golden Lion

The Golden Lion

The Golden Lion dates from the 14th century and is the oldest pub in the town. It’s the permanent home of the 'Old 'Oss' used in Padstow's world-famous May Day 'Obby 'Oss' festival to mark the arrival of summer. A traditional boozer with open fires, parquet floors, a public bar and family room, it’s very much the hub of the community. Fill up on bowls of soup, hearty homemade pies (fish, steak and ale etc) or daily specials. The Lion is also known for its 'proper job' Sunday roasts.

Padstow Kitchen Garden

Padstow Kitchen Garden

Amidst the outstandingly beautiful Trerethern Farm on the north coast of Cornwall lies Padstow Kitchen Garden: 4 acres of land nourished, nurtured and tended-to by 6th generation farmer and former Stein’s head-chef, Ross Geach. Ross writes a monthly column in the gardening section of the Telegraph, appears monthly on Radio Cornwall’s Gardenline and was featured on Countryfile. For all things fresh and farm it’s well-worth a visit.

Prawn On The Lawn

Prawn on the Farm Padstow opened in 2020, as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic. Due to social distancing we were unable to run our site in Padstow town so looked to locate somewhere nearby for the summer. Trerethern Farm welcomed us with open arms and we are now going into the 3rd year of our residency at the farm. We change our small plates menu every day (sometimes hourly!) and local fisherman land fish right to our door.

Greens Of Padstow

Greens Of Padstow

Greens is a place where tranquility is served with simple, wholesome food, and relaxation is high on the specials board. A restaurant, mini-golf garden and viewing spot. Where more space does not mean more tables, where family memories are made, and where glorious views are discovered, time and time again.
